Monday - yuck!!

We had a nice quiet weekend but it went too fast. Friday night I rode with dad to Kansas City. We left around 5:30 and ate on our way there...dad was a big spender and took me to Wendy's! :) It was good, I wanted chili and a bake potato...he had a salad. He's been doing good on his weight loss and exercise. I think he's staying around 10 pounds off. We haven't changed our diets too much just the snacking and exercising more. My running has slowed down a little in the last week. I was having trouble with one knee. I went to a chiropractor and he said that my back is out in three places and this is causing my knee strain. My x-rays were pretty interesting! The one in my neck is an old injury (over 25yrs) from when I wrecked on a motorcycle. He said that he could tell that it was a whiplash injury that was never corrected. He said that he could help it from getting worse. Then I have a lower back vertebrae out of place, which is causing three vertebrae in the middle of my back to curve a little. He said that he could definitely help those areas but it will take some time. So I will be going to him 3x a week for 3 weeks and then re-eval. I've only had one treatment and I do feel different...mostly a little sore but it has changed the pain in my knee. It's not the same, it's more like a sore muscle now...so I think it's getting better. This weeks treatments should help more...we'll see! :) I'm just running short distances now on the treadmill and trying to get into work and do weights. It's freezing cold here now in the mornings so will try to run at night. This morning it was 33 and I think to only get into the low 50's today...burrrrrr!! Saturday we didn't hurry home, after his meeting we headed to Cabella's but ate at Applebee's first. Dad had a couple gift certificates that were burning a hold in his pocket. He did get a couple things...mostly for his smoker. We headed home around 5:00pm...Lexie was lonely and drove us nuts the rest of the night! Sunday we slept in until 8:30...that felt soooo good! Read the paper and I met mom at the mall and we went shopping until around 4pm. She headed home and I went to Kohl's and Dahls before heading home. I then worked out, watched a movie and then headed to my hot bath. I was in bed by 9pm, as usual. Now it's Monday morning and I have to get a report done this week...you know how I hate writing reports!!!!
